THE PIRON BRIGADE IN NORMANDY

The Piron brigade actively participated in the liberation of Normandy. In this period of commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation, Heimdal editions present a very dense analysis of the operations of the famous Belgian brigade during the Normandy campaign. This opus analyzes the tactical workings of the unit and its adaptation to modern warfare during the last phase of the battle in the Normandy countryside. The ambushes of an ever more skillful German army, fighting with its back to the Seine to survive, will put into mourning the magnificent victory of the Belgians. Always at the forefront, they will liberate the entire Côte Fleurie: Villers-sur-Mer, Cabourg, Trouville, Deauville, Honfleur, Foulbec... It is their indelible traces that we invite you to follow through the pages of this volume.
